Employment Overview - Please read BEFORE submitting an application

March 1, 2023

The Club is now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 program year.

On behalf of the North Toronto Aquatic Club (“NTAC”) we would like to welcome you to our organization and we are pleased that you are considering employment with us.  You are seeking to join a dynamic team committed to quality swim instruction with deep community roots.  Should you be successful in the application process, we believe that you will find your experience with us rewarding and beneficial.

NTAC usually hires for the school term, September through April/May or June.  Although we are a not-for-profit entity, we try and pay competitive wages.  We strive for an inclusive and supportive work environment.  In return, we expect our staff to diligently and safely perform their duties and responsibilities, support and nurture our members and parents, and commit to a schedule with limited absences.  Full terms of employment would be set out in an employment agreement.

Regular attendance is key and integral to the successful operation of NTAC, the success of our students, the satisfaction of our stakeholders/clients, and ensuring our continued strong community reputation.  Therefore, it is expected that all employees attend work as per schedule.  A failure to attend work at regular times may result in discipline up to and including termination of employment.  If you cannot commit to set days/times you should not apply for employment with us.

NTAC appreciates your interest in our organization and looks forward to reviewing your application.  Please carefully review and fully complete the form.  Should your application be approved, interviews and other pre-hiring processes will follow before a formal offer of employment is made.

A current Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check is a requirement of the position for all staff 18 years of age and over.  If you have a current one, please submit it with your application.  If not, if hired, you will be required to submit a CLEAR Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check before your first shift.  Failure to do so, would result in our contract becoming null and void.
